Prosperity
By Rev. Coco Stewart
There was a time in my family’s life when we were greatly challenged by our financial circumstances. My husband had been laid off from his long held position, and although I was beginning a new career, with two young children my work was only sporadic. This challenge drove us much deeper into practicing the fundamental principles of supply. Our consistent affirming of our oneness with Supply Itself, practicing gratitude for and good stewardship of the supply we did have, combined with—as my husband stated—“not making fear-based decisions”—became our way of life.
Throughout this period there were many demonstrations of love, support, and supply. One example occurred when I had to call a utility company concerning a payment which was due. While my children were bouncing around the room, I heard the still small voice within gently but firmly advise, “Ask them if you can pay later.” It actually told me twice, no doubt because I was somewhat skeptical. The utility company graciously said yes! Then, after pouring resumes out like confetti, my husband’s next job opportunity came right to his door step. “If you still do this kind of work,” his prospective employer said, “then we have the perfect position for you.” And it was true!
The Practice:
To release the habit of making fear-based decisions, begin by working with a minor decision you must make today, such as what you will eat for breakfast or wear to work. Notice within yourself the feeling-tone or energy field from which you are making decisions—how does it feel in your physical, mental and emotional bodies? Are you choosing from love, trust, doubt, joy, lack or abundance? From whatever field of energy you are making choices, Universal Law will read them like a bar code and correspond accordingly. With every choice you make, whether small or large, set the intention to do so in a joyful, self-loving and abundant consciousness. Then watch how the Universe responds with an flood of love, and generosity, which is not possible through a wholly human effort. Prove this to yourself!
